Commissioned by the San Francisco Arts Commission for the AirTrain at San Francisco International Airport, this remarkable 10-by-150-foot suite of panels represents the artist’s first permanent public artwork. Known for her vibrant site-specific paintings and installations, the artist brings her signature language to an enduring architectural setting. Reflecting on the stained-glass commission, Sarah notes: “In many ways, this project was a natural extension of how I work on paper, as well as the expansive color palettes that define my paintings and site-based works. It also marked an important shift for me, creating the first permanent work in a practice that is otherwise frequently ephemeral".
